Fizi is a series of minimalist lights designed by Australian studio Articolo. This series of products is characterized by the “effervescent effect” caused by the glass blowing method. The spherical glass shape is located on the brass base and the intermediate bronze seat with contrast marble ribbon.
The manual quality of the glass was further explored by the dramatic Fizi Slab, a 12-month-old lighting fixture that extends the spherical sphere into a slender organic shape. Articolo creative director Nicci Green explained: “The unpredictability of blown glass means that the organic shape of Fizi Slab cannot be completely controlled. This beautiful reality means that every piece is truly unique.”
Effervescent bubbles are reminiscent of the color and detail of champagne through the effects of chandeliers and wall lights. In addition, the illumination source is carefully concealed to create a jewel-like effect that dissolves the foam light into the surrounding environment.
